Age Categories

Age 5-8 years, 9-12 years and 13-16 years. You can find suitable story scaffold resources in our pack below. Useful for parents and teachers.

Children in the 5–8 category may write independently or have an adult scribe for them — we’re celebrating imagination, not handwriting.

Prizes

Winners in each category will receive a reading and writing gift bundle and the top stories will be showcased on our website. All entries will receive a certificate and we are thrilled that winning entries will be judged by bestselling Sunday Times author, Fern Britton.
